ABOUT THE GRIFFIN CENTRE

The Griffin Centre is located in the heart of Canberra’s CBD and has been part of the Canberra community for close to 50 years. During its time it has been home to a multitude of community organizations and cultural groups including Canberra’s first Aboriginal health center, stamp collectors, the ACT Nudist Club, the Canberra UFO Research Society, and a soup kitchen.

A new home was found for The Griffin Centre on Genge Street, with the center officially opening its doors in October 2005.

The new center is continuing to serve the community and offers various meeting rooms and spaces available for hire to private and public organizations.
